Terms of Use

In one line: KittiPoy connects you with independent local professionals; we verify identities, route bookings and payments — the professionals themselves remain independent service providers, not our employees.

1. The service

KittiPoy ("the Platform") is a marketplace that lets customers discover and book independent professionals (plumbers, electricians, drivers, and similar trades) and lets those professionals receive and fulfil such bookings. We are not a party to the contract between customer and professional; we provide discovery, verification, communication, scheduling and payment tooling.

2. Accounts

• You must be 18+ and provide accurate, current information. One person may hold one primary account.
• Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Customers may register with a phone number or email and self-set password, or sign in with OTP.

3. Professionals & verification

• Signup requires identity verification (KYC): live photograph, introduction video, and government identity/address documents.
• Only verified professionals may appear in search or accept jobs. We may refuse or revoke verification, with a stated reason.
• You confirm you have the professional qualifications, licences and legal right to perform the services you list, in the locations you list.
• Upon approval you receive an initial password by email — change it after first login.
• Joining is free. Platform commission/fees, if introduced, will be disclosed before they apply to you.

4. Bookings, cancellations & conduct

• Prices are shown before booking. A booking is confirmed when the professional accepts.
• Repeated no-shows, cancellations after acceptance, or misuse lead to suspension.
• Customers should provide safe, reasonable access to the work location. Professionals should behave courteously, protect customer property and privacy, and complete work to a professional standard.
• Any agreement to pay "off-platform" removes the job from our protections (no dispute support, no verified-payment handling) and may result in account termination.

5. Payments

• Customers pay professionals directly — cash on completion or UPI to the professional's own UPI id. Service amounts do not route through KittiPoy.
• Professionals must present a clear price before starting and confirm received payments in the Partner app ("payment received"), which powers the earnings dashboard both parties rely on.
• Only the optional featured-listing boost is billed by the platform (via Razorpay) — that is a platform service fee, not a customer charge.
• Refunds/disputes of amounts paid directly are to be settled between customer and professional; our support assists with mediation where possible.
• Professionals are solely responsible for their own taxes.

6. Ratings & reviews

Reviews must be genuine and based on your own experience. We may remove content that is abusive, fraudulent or irrelevant, and may suspend accounts that game ratings.

7. Intellectual property

The Platform including its name, design, code and brand assets is our property or licensed to us. You may use it only as permitted by these terms.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The Platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any particular professional will be available, or that results of any job will match your expectations; professionals are independent contractors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from any use of the Platform is capped at the service value of the relevant booking. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using KittiPoy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harm users, or expose us to legal risk.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Kochi, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction.
